As the nation’s fastest growing shopping network, ShopNBC is becoming known for high-quality merchandise at irresistible values. ShopNBC needed a retail outlet to support their core brand, showcase their high quality merchandise, and give their retail brand recognition a boost. They turned to STEIN to create a new prototype branded environment that would meet and exceed these goals.
The overall look of the store is opulent and contemporary, while avoiding the typical boring, sterile jewelry store aesthetic. A corner unit layout permits an almost fully transparent exterior, providing the mall’s foot traffic stunning views into the store. Observers will first notice the brightly lit, larger-than-life-size color-changing watch cases, utilizing frosted acrylic and L.E.D. light fixtures to create a dynamic effect reminiscent of the colors of the brand’s universally recognized logo, the NBC peacock. Window cases suspended in midair by a delicate rod system flaunt some of the store’s most impressive products, drawing customers in from the mall. The remaining wall surfaces are treated with a satin silver finish to wrap the customer in luxury and decadence.
