CATFISH BEND CASINO & HOTEL
The railroad and the Mississippi River played heavily into the history of Burlington, Iowa, the location of Catfish Bend Casino and Hotel. These two themes were melded together in creating this unique branded environment and entertainment destination.
The Pullman car of the early 20th century becomes the style driver for two high stakes gambling areas in the 35,000 square-foot casino. Enormous stylized poker chips illuminate the space, as well as housing and organization of security cameras. Vintage travel postcards established the theme imagery throughout the casino.
Expectations of comfort and simple elegance determined the design of the hotel rooms; hallway room plaques create a sense of individuality by utilizing miniaturized room art in the signage design.
