With the successful launch of the Brunswick Pavilion and Brunswick Home & Billiard prototype, Stein turned the firm's effort toward balancing the product mix within the Brunswick line.
Sensing a disconnect between Brunswick's largely neoclassical billiard table offerings and the American consumer's evolving taste for contemporary furnishings, STEIN created a series of table designs that would fill a void in the virtually non-existent category of contemporary billiard tables.
Concepts shared with the dealer network led to the development of the Apollo, an entry-level contemporary table design that was featured on NBC's Contender Series and has gone on to become one of the company's high-volume billiard tables.
